Please note, the last time Tri State Area members can access TSAFCU online banking will be at noon on 3.31.25. Both TSAFCU branches in Bennington and Hoosick Falls will close on 3.31.25 at noon and will reopen at noon on 4.1.25 as Heritage Family Credit Union branches.
If you currently have a Tri State Area checking account, you can place an order for a complimentary, initial order of standard HFCU checks after the April 1 system transition (there will be a discount applied for other check styles). Checks can be ordered at HFCU branches, by calling 888.252.8932, through HFCU eBranch online banking, or by visitingwww.ordermychecks.com. Standard fees will apply for future HFCU check orders.
February 13, 2025:
Effective Wednesday, February 19, Tri State Area members can use their Tri State Area debit cards at Heritage Family Credit Union ATMs and ITMs without incurring any ATM fees.
January 28, 2025:
In mid-March, Tri State Area members will be mailed a guide booklet containing essential and helpful introductory information, including details on the upcoming April 1 system transition as well as an overview of HFCU’s eBranch digital banking platform. An additional mailing will be sent to all Tri State Area members prior to the April 1 system conversion containing their new HFCU account information.
Tri State Area members who have a debit card will receive their new HFCU debit card in the mail by the end of March. Be sure to keep it in a safe place and remember you will not be able to activate it before April 1 . You will no longer be able to use your Tri State Area debit card after April 1.
Tri State Area members who have a Tri State Area credit card will receive their new HFCU Visa® in the mail at the end of April. Be sure to keep it in a safe place and remember you will not be able to activate it before May 15. You can continue to use your Tri State Area credit card until May 15.
You can open new Tri State Area deposit accounts with a Tri State Area debit card until March 1. If you are opening a new Tri State Area deposit account without a debit card, you can do so until March 14.
January 1, 2025:
Merger takes effect with Tri State Area Federal Credit Union and Heritage Family Credit Union officially becoming one organization while still operating on two separate banking systems.
December 2, 2024:
Tri State Area Federal Credit Union Board of Directors ratified a merger agreement, following an overwhelmingly enthusiastic approval vote by TSAFCU members.
October 10, 2024:
The NCUA has approved our request to merge.
August 7, 2024:
Tri State Area Federal Credit Union and Heritage Family Credit Union announce plans to merge to the staffs at both credit unions.
July 31, 2024:
Merger application submitted to the NCUA.
